These terms govern your use of V3RIS at v3ris.com. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site. The short version is below; the full terms follow.
V3RIS is a research tool that runs in your browser. You add your own sources (text, files, or web links you provide), and V3RIS helps you search them, ask questions grounded in them, and surface the figures mentioned in them, each tied back to the source it came from. Some features make a call to an AI model using a key you supply. V3RIS does not host your content or your key, and there is no account.
V3RIS does not verify whether your sources are true. It reports what your sources say and checks internal consistency. It is not a fact-checker, a news verifier, or a source of professional advice.
You keep all rights to the content you bring (your documents, figures, drafts, the links you paste, and your model key). V3RIS claims no ownership and no license to it beyond running the features you ask for, in your browser, during your session. Your content is stored in your browser's local storage (or, if you choose, a cloud account you connect), never on our servers.
You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use the content and the web links you bring into V3RIS, and that doing so does not infringe anyone else's rights or break any agreement or law.
You may use the outputs you generate. Remember that outputs are self-asserted (consistency with your sources, not confirmed fact), and you are responsible for anything you publish or rely on from them.
The V3RIS name, the site, its software and engine, and its design are owned by Michael Calise (V3RIS) ("we", "us"). We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the site as intended. You may not copy, sell, sublicense, or rebrand the software or engine, attempt to extract or reverse engineer it beyond what is plainly viewable in the page, or present it as your own.
V3RIS is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that results are correct, that figures or quotes are accurate, that the site will be uninterrupted or error free, or that it will meet your needs.
Nothing produced by or shown on V3RIS is legal, financial, investment, accounting, medical, or journalistic-verification advice. Do your own checking and seek a qualified professional before relying on anything for a decision that matters.
AI features use your own model provider key (for example, Anthropic). The call goes from your browser to your provider; we never receive or store the key. You are responsible for your key, your usage, your costs, and complying with your provider's terms.
The "read from links" feature fetches the public web pages you provide and returns their text. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to access and use those pages and for complying with their terms and applicable law. Do not use it to reach private, restricted, or unlawful material, or to overload or abuse third-party sites.
Use V3RIS lawfully and as intended. Do not use it to break the law or anyone's rights, to abuse the relay or any third-party service, to attempt to defeat the site's security or limits, or to harm, overload, or interfere with the site or other users.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of V3RIS. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed the amount you paid us to use it, which is zero.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, the links you bring, your use of the site, or your breach of these terms.
V3RIS relies on third parties, including your AI model provider, the hosting and relay provider, and the public sources you point it to. Each has its own terms, and we are not responsible for them or for their availability, accuracy, or actions.
We may update these terms or change, suspend, or discontinue the site at any time. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. We may suspend access for misuse.
